Ultra Early Entry Concrete Saws

The earlier the better! That's what the folks at Soff-Cut® know to be true. At least when it comes to installing control joints in flatwork. Soff-Cut's Ultra Early Entry technology saws have been proven to relieve internal concrete stresses BEFORE they start…BEFORE THE CONCRETE EVEN HARDENS.

This technology can save you money by reducing labor costs in two smart ways!

  1. You no longer need to leave a guy behind on the job - or send one out the next day - to do the joint cutting. That means you've got one valuable worker available for other moneymaking jobs.
  2. Because the saw cuts control joints in twice as much footage with half the labor needed before, you and your crew are saving time like crazy!

Besides the speed, these saws also:

  • Provide better stress relief for the flatwork
  • Give you a more consistent finished surface
  • Eliminate chipping and spalling
  • Reduce the depth of the joint cut which then reduces maintenance costs for the end customer

They're GREAT for residential and light commercial applications including driveways, parking structures and lots, and exposed decks.

The American and National Leagues aren't the only things heating up this summer. We're sure you and your crews could use a little relief from the heat -- or at least a couple of tips to make your lives a bit cooler. Check out these suggestions!

  • Start early. Getting a head start on the hottest hours of the day means less time in the sun. Get to the job and start working as early as possible. Check with the village/city or project manager for the rules and regs on start times.
  • Drink lots and lots of water! Did we say drink lots and lots of water? Ok, we just wanted to be sure you got the message. Make sure that anyone working out in the heat, humidity, or sunshine this summer keep themselves hydrated. Why not consider purchasing a couple of new coolers for the job site and providing this most valuable-yet inexpensive-liquid for your crew?
  • Don't forget the sunscreen! Even on a cloudy day the sun's ultraviolet rays are working on the skin. A daily dose of a SPF 15.
  • Fans are not just for rock stars! How about checking out MCA's VersaMist's® portable misting fans? It's a rugged cooling unit that is designed to reduce air temperature up to 35 degree. Just fill it up, plug it in, and turn it on. Your guys will appreciate it!
  • Concrete needs help too. When the temperatures climb concrete can set up too quickly. Aquafilm® is a ready to use water-based evaporation retardant for concrete flatwork. It works especially well in rapid drying conditions like high temperature, low humidity, wind, and direct sun
